The ElectronicAlternator is designed for instant-up
imaging and is based on off-the-shelf architecture. Windows XP-Pro ® on a dual
Zeon platform, with up to 4 gigabytes of RAM, can be used. With this configuration,
500 chest images can be accommodated for immediate viewing. This allows the
radiologist to move efficiently through the daily case load.
The ElectronicAlternator is expandable. Although it
can operate on a single LCD display, the maximum configuration can accommodate 9
displays. One display is a dedicated control monitor to handle patient
information and thumbnail images, while the other displays are used for viewing.
The ElectronicAlternator is insensitive to the type of display used. It
can be grayscale or color of low or high resolution tuned to optimizing a
grayscale image.

Features
Instant-Up Imaging - Images are loaded into RAM
and are then displayed on the monitors by referencing them to thumbnail

will display.
Next-Next - Advance to the next image by
pressing the DOWN key, or advance to the next patient by pressing CONTROL
and the DOWN key. Move laterally through a series by pressing the LATERAL

cases. A 16 gigabyte system is available and will handle 2000 cases.
DICOM Viewing - Full resolution or compressed
JPEG files.
Control Monitor - Displays all patients stored
in the database. Patient information is represented as a line of text, and

cause the image to open on on e of the viewing displays.

lateral images can be placed in any orientation, side-by-side, over-under,
etc.
Optional Items - Windows printers and STAT
reports can be supported.
